In a few taps, this effect gives ordinary videos an unexpected twist and the possibilities are endless! Reverse a makeup removal video, and suddenly wipes become the applicator. The reverse effect is easy to apply, so there's no need to edit for hours, but it's not a flawless process. You can't reverse the audio and the effect is applied to the entire video, but there's a solution to both of the issues.
In this article, I'll cover how to reverse a video on TikTok three different three ways.

Reversing audio may be essential for the context of a video. Sometimes this effect is used to pick up subliminal messages or to make a unique sound effect. In this example, I'll show you how to reverse the video and audio using Kapwing.

How to Reverse One Clip for TikTok
In Kapwing Studio, you can cut out a section from the original video and replace it with a clip from the reversed video. Head over to Kapwing, click start editing, and upload the original and reversed video.
To keep the audio the same, right-click the video and select detach audio. You can mute the reversed video by dragging the circle next to volume all the way to the left.
Use the split tool above the timeline or type "s" on your keyboard to cut out a section from the reversed video. Delete any extra clips from the timeline, then, split the original video to insert the reversed clip. You can drag the ends of track to trim it. Continue editing your clips until the reversed video is in sync with the original video. We want to achieve a seamless reverse effect!
When you're finished editing, watch the video a few times to make sure it's exactly how you want it to appear. Click export video at the top the studio, then click download to save it to your device.
